About me

As a translator from English and German into French with a European think tank website, I specialise in political short essays, European policy analyses, news articles, and various web items. I also participate in diverse publising projects on occasion as a content producer or proofreader and I teach website translation to master’s students in Paris. I enjoy collective endeavours, tech, and languages.

In the 1990s and the 2000s, both at the start of my career and later again after becoming a mother, I alternately gained experience as a think tank officer working in connection to the EU and as a grassroots facilitation project manager. In the meantime, for several years, I published in French newspapers & magazines as a full-time freelancing journalist. In the 2010s, I chose to spend more time with my family. I became an office manager, event organiser, and documentation proofreader at a career transition company, then a high-school sub teacher and a trainer in continuing education, and later on a translator and proofreader.

I graduated from the Sorbonne University (M1 in German Studies) and Sciences Po Paris (M2-equivalent degree in public and international affairs, major in economic policies). In addition, I attended intensive curricula in liberal arts at Poincaré then Louis-le-Grand prep colleges (6 semesters, « sous-adm », i.e. honorable mention); in social sciences at EHESS and ENS (joint curriculum, 2 semesters); and in political science with the Otto-Suhr Institute and IEP Paris (German-French joint curriculum, 2 semesters).

I got certified in English (Cambridge C2 Proficiency), French proofreading (Certificat Voltaire, top expert), and web quality management (OPQUAST, advanced). I am a life-long learner, gaining practical knowledge and insights related to my professional needs (website- and data-related skills; DTP and communications software; misc.). Learn more
